Not to downplay the gravity of my post about pre-marital sex, but I am verrrrrrrrrrry pregnant (like under four weeks to go here people) and the only thing that's distracting me from the ligament pains that make me feel like the baby is just about to drop right out, is food.
My latest obsession - Fig Newmans - not to be confused with their skinny ass, tasteless counterparts - Fig Newtons.
Not only are the Fig Newmans low fat and packaged with a picture of Paul Newman (hi, hotness even though he's 400 years old and in overalls), but they actually taste like a cookie.
Or a fruit cake.
And that is why what you see is what remains from the bag I bought.
Yesterday.

Okay, enough of the PSA. Gotta go pick up this fine lady for our party today. Are you coming?

I came over from Literal Dan's to check out your blog. It looks like I am in the minority but I am on the Fig NEWTON team. I tried the Newmans a few years back. TOO healthy tasting.
I just had a snack of Pepperidge Farm Mint Milanos.(my private stash, hidden from my family)
There is a reason I'm a Bad Momma!

My daughter is allergic to wheat, dairy and some fruit. The only cookies we could find in our remote locale were Fig Newmans, Newman's Chocolate Alphabets (Wheat Free), and (Wheat, Dairy Free) Newman Oreo knock offs. They were tasty. They made her feel more normal and her buddies loved them too.
Newman's Own absolutely rocks.

Hmm, I may have to try me some Fig Newmans.
Right now we have cupcakes in our pantry, following a birthday party, and they are screaming at me.
Other than that, just the usual cereal, popcorn, canned veggies...nothing exciting.

Ooh, I like Newman's Own products. I could go for these.

Oh I'm loving fig newtons too, this time around. That and Pomegranet Lemonade are my krypotite.
I bent to pick something up today and I swear I thought the boy would just drop out of me.

Not on my blog- but I'll confess to hiding from my children in my pantry and eating Dove dark chocolates.

Mmmmm, Fig Rolls (as we call them in this country).
My guilty secret is Smarties, a candy a bit like (but far superior to) M&Ms. I buy them to bribe my son to go to bed, then eat them myself (he isn't very good at going to bed!).

Yummmmmmm. I just found Newman's Organic Berry Blend of dried blueberries, cranberries, and raisins (even though grapes aren't berries) to go in salads. Oh god they are good. I've got to find the Fig Newmans. They look great!

Four weeks to go? Feh--try two weeks. I am so HUGE! Anyway, thanks for the endorsement. I'll try Fig Newmans, I love Fig Newtons. Even though they don't taste as good as they used to. Or is that me? I seem to remember the cookie part being softer & thicker.

Mmm...gotta try these!

We love Fig Newmans here. Little J was having a problem with - um - number 2 and the doc prescribed Miralax. I wasn't thrilled with the chemical approach and Fig Newmans solved the problem in a natural way :)

I've never had Fig Newmans, but I LOVE Newman O's (like Oreos). I especially like the ginger ones, but regular are great too. Way, way, way better than Oreos.

Oh man, those look excellent! I like Fig Newtons as it is, but with those being plumper and less cakier... mmmmm... wonder if we can get them up here in Canada!
