Oh That Stinkin' Barney

Wouldn't you know that my kid loves Barney? I'm  not exactly sure why, but I think it has to do with the kids that get to dance and sing on a television show.

Yeah, my daughter wants to be a star.

So, when she sees them singing and dancing with all their might next to Barney, she imagines herself in their position.

Barney's new dvd, Animal ABC's, a 50-some-odd minute movie length Barney feature that goes through the alphabet using animals to help teach isn't half bad. Both my kids are fascinated by animals, particularly ones with weird names and ferocious teeth (yes, my daughter loves crocodiles and sharks). So, for her, this DVD was actually pretty interesting.

If you can stand the songs, then this DVD is worth it. Since moving to Arkansas where we don't really have PBS (don't ask) and NickJr has commercials, I've been putting on more DVDs rather than the television.

And this one is definitely in our regular rotation. Sometimes you just have to take one for the team. Or your kids.

And heck, at least their learning something and not asking for a Bratz doll.
